This autumn, a brand new event will see giant art installations popping up all over the Gold Coast. Created in association with the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, The Animals with Attitude Gold Coast Sculpture Trail aims to raise awareness of Australian conservation issues by capturing the public imagination with a series of huge, colourful sculptures.
The first ever event is dedicated to the most iconic of native animals: the koala. Over two months, a vibrant selection of massive, 40kg fibreglass koala sculptures will suddenly appear on street corners, in parks, building foyers and public spaces all over the Gold Coast, close to our Broadbeach family apartments. Every Koala sculpture on display will be individually designed and decorated by talented local amateur and professional artists, and one will be selected as best on show when the project ends.
You can catch the Animals with Attitude Gold Coast Sculpture Trail between March 3rd and April 28. Explore the trail and pick your favourite koala with the kids this Easter School Holidays!
